Legal Assistant for Bethesda, MD based Law Firm

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the law firm by managing various administrative tasks and providing exceptional support to attorneys and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain attorney schedules, including scheduling appointments and meetings
  • Prepare and format legal documents and correspondence
  • Maintain and organize electronic files using Worldox
  • Assist with billing and invoicing processes using TABS3
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional manner
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Support the legal team with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and document review
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to create and edit documents and spreadsheets

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant, preferably in a law firm or legal setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with legal document management software such as Worldox and billing software like TABS3
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration or related field are a plus
