Construction Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all bids are competitive and financially viable, while also adhering to project deadlines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work
Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bid packages
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing
Perform cost analysis and prepare budget estimates based on project requirements
Review contracts and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
Provide technical support during the bidding process and throughout the project
Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project timelines are met
Maintain organized records of bid proposals and cost estimates
Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of the estimation process

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction processes, local building codes, and construction drawings
Excellent skills in estimating, bidding, and negotiating
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to perform cost analysis and develop accurate cost estimates
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Familiarity with project scheduling and budgeting techniques
