Plant Safety Manager

Position Overview
The Plant Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the safety programs and initiatives within the plant. This role aims to ensure a safe working environment that complies with OSHA regulations and promotes a culture of safety among employees.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance
Provide safety training and orientation for new employees and ongoing training for existing employees
Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with management to promote safety awareness and improve safety performance
Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance reports
Lead safety meetings and communicate safety updates to all staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in safety management within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
Proven leadership skills and experience managing a safety team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) preferred
