Superintendent
Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will manage on-site operations, supervise construction staff, and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Manage project changes and schedule adjustments as necessary to meet client expectations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including reports and deficiency lists.
- Conduct subcontractor meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure that all work meets established standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders during preconstruction phases to define project scopes and requirements.
- Monitor labor and supervision costs to maintain budgetary compliance.
Qualifications- Proven experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, preferably in commercial, multi-family residential, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and OSHA regulations.
- Experience with project scheduling and construction management software, such as Bluebeam.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise staff and liaise with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with financial management concepts related to construction projects.
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in healthcare, retail, or institutional building projects is a plus.
