Trust & Estates Associate Attorney

Position Overview
Our Hartford office is seeking a skilled Trust & Estates Associate Attorney to join our growing firm. We have been named one of the top places to work for multiple years and continue to in 2025! In this role you will assist clients with estate planning, probate, and trust administration. You will also provide legal guidance on various aspects of trust and estate matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and helping clients navigate complex family dynamics and financial situations. Key Responsibilities

Assist clients in developing estate plans that align with their financial goals and personal values.
Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
Guide clients through the probate process, including the administration of estates and trusts.
Provide legal advice on tax planning strategies related to estate and trust matters.
Conduct research on relevant laws and regulations affecting trusts and estates.
Represent clients in court hearings related to probate and estate disputes.
Collaborate with financial advisors and other professionals to provide comprehensive solutions for clients.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD)
Active license to practice law in the state of CT- license to practice in the sate of MA is a plus
3+ years of experience in trust and estates law, including estate planning and probate.
Strong understanding of tax planning as it relates to estates and trusts.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
