The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the permitting and compliance aspects of environmental projects. This role involves managing project timelines, budgets, and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks while engaging with stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the permitting processes for various environmental projects ensuring all relevant regulations are met.
  • Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments to evaluate the potential effects of projects on the environment.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Write detailed reports documenting project progress and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to communicate project objectives, progress, and address concerns.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory frameworks and environmental science best practices.
  • Ensure compliance management processes are in place and functioning effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the environmental sector.
  • Proven experience with permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong skills in report writing and documentation.
  • Experience in budget management and financial oversight of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment methodologies and practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
