Located in Houston, TX, we are a global infrastructure advisory firm that specializes in providing engineering and consulting services for clients in various markets, including marine terminals, transportation, energy, environmental, federal, and urban development.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marine / Waterfront Structural Engineer / Licensed PE to oversee Design, Project Management, Business Development, and training of staff. The ideal candidate will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements while staying within budget and on schedule. This role will require strong leadership skills and the ability to engage with various stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple marine and waterfront development projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to marine and waterfront structures.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Conduct risk management assessments to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Coordinate and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to project specifications, progress reports, and compliance records.
  • Utilize scheduling tools to track project timelines and adjust resources as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project and program management within marine and waterfront structural projects.
  • Strong understanding of waterfront development principles and practices.
  • Experience in risk management and regulatory compliance in engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial oversight of projects.
  • Familiarity with contract negotiation and scheduling best practices.
